Do your goals truly motivate you?

    When I ask this question, what I mean is do your “goals” get you out of bed in the morning? Do you get up with a fire and a passion to take on your day, or do you hit snooze five times and sleep in? Are you always saying ahh I’ll do it tomorrow? You see, when you have true motivation towards a goal, those things don’t happen. If you have to get up at five a.m. for a workout you will. If you have to stay up late to finish a project you’re working on, you will. Sure you can accomplish those tasks with being truly motivated, but it is not really enjoyable. I can tell you from personal experience that having goals you are truly passionate about will make life all the more enjoyable, and you will have a much better sense of accomplishment. One of my favorite quotes is “you can’t fake passion, one day you’ll meet someone who is truly passionate about what you do, and they’ll destroy you.” I challenge you to take some time, figure out what it is that really ignites that fire inside you. Make a list of things you like and want to accomplish, see what is truly meaningful to you. That’s how I am with personal training. There is no more rewarding feeling than helping someone change their life for the better, and reach their goals. I am passionate about helping people, maybe you aren’t. Find what works for you, find your passion and you’ll never work a day in your life.
